Scar Progress ~ Four Years

Four years later (no makeup)

Some Septembers have passed since the surgery in 2009. I almost forgot... but last night a fleeting memory blurted into my head reminding me ... it was this time of year when I had such a nerve-wracking, face-changing experience four years ago. Here's how it looks today.

  1. I just want to say thank you for this blog. You have given me some courage to deal with a similar situation. Thank you for your time, effort and bravery to post this online. Whenever I have a "bad scar day" I think of you. It helps to know there are others out there dealing with the same issues. Thank you, again. You are healing beautifully.

  2. I decided to "touch base" on this site again today, nearly 2 years after my melanoma and graf tin virtually the same place on my face. You look fabulous and have been such an inspiration to me. Thank you so very much.

  3. I've been following your blog for about a year. Your scar now looks like it is at the point where it may be helped by ReCell. I had it from Dr. Jeremy Rawlins as an outpatient surgery in Nottingham, UK at Zenith Cosmetic Clinics. It may help with the hypopigmentation, and may make the skin slightly more smooth. It may enlarge some of your pores, but it is a tradeoff (like all other surgeries).

  4. You look beautiful. I am hoping my face looks as good as yours (only mine is a lot older!)

  5. I would have never had the courage to post my photos - until I saw yours. You are correct that putting it out there and being honest about it will help others. I know you helped me tremendously, more than you know.
